This small word is the key to good health. Some are under this misconception that dieting means fasting. Whereas there are others who are sure that dieting will keep them in the pink of health. There are a variety of diet plans in the market.

The question arises ” How will you find out which is the most suitable diet for you? Or what is the diet plan that you are to follow. Our problem is that we take it for granted that once on a diet we will start losing quickly. Say 20 pounds in 5 days. You should know another fact that you can gain the same amount in 10 days.

Some people strongly believe that skipping meals is what dieting is. This is a false notion. The body needs energy to remain active. The minute you stop eating your metabolism becomes slow and you burn few calories.

Your weight loss phenomena gets a severe blow. Some are emotionally so prone that they overeat when they are either sad or happy. This is a major cause of obesity later on.

In this way the men and women are confused on this issue. I have a feeling that unless diet is combined with exercise it is fruitless. Some are lured to embark on a quick weight loss program that does more harm than good.

So how do you watch what you eat to maintain your balanced diet plan? This is where your conscience and honesty comes into picture. Remember that if you cheat, you are cheating to your body and not anybody else.

A healthy diet plan is all about eating sensibly and not skipping meals. Eating sensibly includes eating the right amount of fat free food. You have to make fruits and vegetables a part of your diet. Oily and greasy foods must be avoided. Along with the diet you must exercise on a regular basis.

2. A 30 minutes session of cardiovascular exercise gives a little boost to burn the calories and helps weight loss. If you just want to stay fit and maintain your weight, a 30 minute brisk walk session or running session would be as good as any cardiovascular exercise.

3. Include a lot of green leafy vegetables, fruits, dairy products in your diet. Protein is what you need to keep your stomach filled in a right quantity. This helps you to avoid nibbling.

If you falter then it will become evident from your body. If you cheat then you will be cheating your body and nobody else. Be true to yourself. This is for your benefit. Obesity brings with it many diseases. It is for your secure future that you should take this step.

To conclude, any diet plan would help you lose weight and stay fit if you have faith. After all slow and steady wins the race!
