So I’ll get started on the HCG diet business next, but for now I thought I’d start off with a Happy Thanksgiving for you all! After experiencing your very own Thanksgiving Day you have to see my logic in making sure that Thanksgiving was one of the “loading” days for my HCG Diet. It fit in perfectly with the HCG protocol for weight loss. And I didn’t feel deprived on the food focused holiday. (Far from it…I was stuffed!)

This morning I weighed myself (nothing interesting; same as yesterday). I took my drops right after I weighed myself and then (after 15 minutes) had a cinnamon roll. Then I had another. It is a loading day after all. There’s not really very many days in the life of a normal individual (over the age of 14) when a sane person can actually rationalize more than one cinnamon roll in one sitting; so that was fun.

I was assigned to bring an apple pie to the family gathering in the afternoon so I set about making one. Since I was supposed to be loading I ate as much of the spiced apples as I wanted while I cooked. And since there was plenty of family all around also cooking and preparing their own assigned dishes for the late lunch/early dinner there were plenty of high calorie, fatty foods for me to pick at all day. In the midst of my picking and eating I did make sure to take my HCG 2 more times (morning and evening) with the required no eating/drinking for 15 minutes before and after.

When I was reading the booklet that came along with the HCG products I remember a list of common errors that decrease the amount of weight loss even if people think they are following the HCG protocol for weight loss. One of them was that people don’t load enough high calorie, high fat foods during the first two “loading” days. Evidently it leads to increased hunger, crankiness and headaches during the diet.

Since I don’t like being hungry and being cranky makes me…cranky…I did my very best to successfully “load” during my loading days. And Thanksgiving just made it easier. I’m not saying that I won’t ever be cranky on the diet (I mean, come on we’re talking about limiting a person to 500 calories per day), but at least I’ll come by it honestly. It won’t be because I didn’t eat enough during the first two days of the diet.

So far the HCG protocol for weight loss seems like a piece of cake (or pie since it’s Thanksgiving). After I went to the big Thanksgiving dinner with my family and enjoyed all the traditional foods that we have every year I got home and took the weight loss formula again. Now I’m headed to bed and I’m trying not to think about the fact that tomorrow my big staple is going to be water and herbal tea. We’ll see how it goes!

Amelia Handley studied exercise science in college with a minor in Nutrition. Yet she still found herself veering from diet to diet in order to control her weight. With HCG Diet Direct she’s found a program that allows her to combine her desire to control her own body weight with her education and not feel off balance.
