<p>The issue here is that most people do not know how to manage their protein intake effectively.</p>
<p>So here are 6 ways to make your body absorb more protein:</p>
<p>1. Combine your protein with vegetables: Just like carbohydrates, your body works best with slow digesting protein. If you flood your system with protein in one shot, your active tissues will have a hard time absorbing the amino acids.</p>
<p>2. Eat protein with all the amino acids: Now this is primarily a concern if you are getting protein from sources like legumes and grains. Otherwise, you don&#8217;t really have to worry about this one. One more thing to watch out for is saturated fat.</p>
<p>3. Don&#8217;t overdo it: Having too much protein is not better here. If you have too much you will decrease absorption and run the risk of burning through muscle. Even worse, your body will begin to secrete excess calcium.</p>
<p>4. Don&#8217;t leave out other macronutrients: Although this may sound basic, having balanced meals is really the best way to enhance protein absorption in your body. You see, each macronutrient slows down digestion in its own unique way.</p>
<p>5. Eat every couple of hours: This is perhaps the most important element here. You see, the human body does not have a good way of storing extra protein. So if you let more than 3 hours go by between meals, you begin to burn through muscle protein.</p>
<p>6. Have some fast digesting protein immediately after a workout: Now just make sure that you have four times more carbs than protein here. If you have too much protein the absorption of carbs will be hindered. And try to have whey protein here for best results.</p>

<p>So here are some odd facts about nutrition that you should know about:</p>
<p>1. As carbohydrate intake goes up muscle breakdown goes down: And this is vitally important if you are losing weight because a loss in muscle mass will destroy your metabolism. Ironically, many people don&#8217;t eat carbs while dieting in hopes of retaining muscle mass.</p>
<p>2. Less muscle carbs reduces calories burned from exercise: This happens because in order to get the highest caloric burn from exercise, you need carbs in your muscles. If you simply take carbs out of your nutrition equation, you can&#8217;t go 100%.</p>
<p>3. Weight loss is independent of dietary composition: You can lose weight with any combination of macronutrients as long as you are in a caloric deficit. The main difference here is how painful different combinations are.</p>
<p>4. Eating a BMR level of calories will cause anyone to lose weight: The lowest BMR among the adult population is 1200 calories. So virtually any adult eating this level of calories will lose weight, assuming all systems in the body are functioning properly.</p>
<p>5. You can increase muscle force while reducing calories: The main factor here is by how much you reduce the calories. If you go to low you will lose muscle mass. However, a slight decrease will allow you to maintain what you have.</p>
<p>6. No clinical research backs hypnosis: Do not waste your time buying expensive hypnosis products. There is no solid evidence showing that hypnosis can change behavior. You are far better off spending the money on nutritious food.</p>

<p>In any case, here are 5 reasons why exercise upon rising is not good for you:</p>
<p>1. Your discs are loaded with liquid: Right when you wake up, you are the tallest you will be during the day. This happens because the discs in your lower back are full of liquid. If you do a lot of bending or strenuous exercise right when you wake up, you are at more risk for lower back injury.</p>
<p>2. Your body is in a catabolic state: In other words, you are breaking down muscles and organs for fuel. If you do not break the fast with a very large meal, you will break down even further while exercising. So make sure you keep this in mind next time you exercise on an empty stomach.</p>
<p>3. You disrupt your hormonal profile for the rest of the day: Cortisol and insulin are the major players here. If you start exercising without having a full breakfast first, cortisol will keep on rising and your levels of insulin will be disrupted for the rest of the day.</p>
<p>4. Your joints aren&#8217;t at their best: In fact, they have less slippery synovial fluid which is the fluid responsible for joint ease of movement. Thus, less synovial fluid translates into faster joint wear and tear. So make sure you have some type of lengthy warm up if you absolutely have to exercise first thing.</p>
<p>5. Your body temperature is low: Body temperature regulates alertness, force production, reaction speed, strength and all metabolic processes. It takes a little time for your muscles and body to warm up when you rise. Optimizing this process leads to better workouts.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It is a known fact that 3500 calories is a pound of body weight and to lose one pound, you must reduce your intake of calories by 3,500. Given that information, if you want to lose five pounds in one week, you must reduce your calories by 17,500!</p>
<p>We are all aware that an average diet is about 2000 calories per day. That&#8217;s only 14 thousand calories per week. That&#8217;s average! That&#8217;s what keeps you healthy. If you are going to diet off five pounds which is seventeen thousand five hundred calories, you have to burn 3500 more calories than you eat for the entire week, or go totally without food PLUS burn 3500 calories in one week. That just won&#8217;t work. You can&#8217;t lose five pounds in one week by dieting. You have to have some food to stay alive.</p>
<p>So if you eliminate food, you&#8217;re in for a rough ride. Your body has this involuntary reaction which we refer to as hibernation, in bears. As good a name as any in people, but we usually call it metabolism. When the food stops coming in, your metabolism picks up on it and starts burning protein, which is your lean muscle. It&#8217;s 75% water, and is your first line of weight loss. You lose your water. You ever see body builders with their protein drinks and protein bars and protein powder? Lots of muscle there, isn&#8217;t there? But the next thing that your metabolism does is worse. It starts to burn carbohydrates, which means that your fat increases. You start to put more weight on!</p>
<p>Since you can&#8217;t diet off the weight then it stands to reason that you have to work on increasing your burn rate. Normally a diet gets you to take in fewer calories and what you burn slowly reduces your size. Actually, you are just losing water, and because 75% of your lean muscle protein is water, pretty soon you start to gain again. You are in hibernation. Your body has made a choice. Give up the protein, live off the carbs, and store as much fat as possible. Any food you take in is converted immediately to fat to help you through this period of starvation. Remember, a bear can sleep though an entire winter without eating.</p>
<p>One thing is for sure: Body Builders don&#8217;t eat a lot of Big Macs and Whoppers. They have a totally different diet, and couple with some simple exercises, they control their metabolisms. If you like that sort of look, they are usually pretty hot, too. They eat like they will never have another meal. For all the food they take in, they should weight 400 pounds, but they don&#8217;t. They have learned to speed up their metabolism, so what they eat is going into muscle building, not fat storing.</p>
<p>Fact is, you can&#8217;t just diet and make fat go away, so you have to make a complete lifestyle choice. You want to lose weight? Start with a little exercise. Get your metabolism kicked up. Once that starts to take off a little weight, THEN you start your diet, and after that you increase your exercise. When you start AFTER you have increased your metabolism, the work will be more effective. The pounds will come off faster and more easily. The weight loss is a lifestyle change and more likely to stay off.</p>
<p>Understand that you put your weight on because you don&#8217;t burn everything that you eat. You store some of it, and over time, that weight builds up. Problem is, storage is driven by what you eat and that consumption is mostly about water. Protein is 75% water. When you go on a diet, after you clear out the water you burn protein from your storehouse.</p>
<p>You can&#8217;t just diet fat off because your body will give away all of it&#8217;s protein to protect itself, so you start to live on carbohydrates- and gain weight. When you lower your food intake, you lose protein, and this loss lowers your burn rate.</p>

<p><b>2. You can satisfy your carbohydrate cravings.</b> Carbohydrates are addictive-this has been proven time and again by research. And with a high carbohydrate diet, you don&#8217;t have to suffer carb withdrawal.</p>
<p><b>3. Retention of definition.</b> Your muscles store carbohydrates in the form of glycogen. Every gram of carbohydrate that gets pulled into your muscle brings along 3 grams of water with it. So on a high carb diet your arms should look tight and compact, not jiggly and loose.</p>

<p>A fast metabolism is the most powerful tool you can use to get rid of those every annoying flabby arms.</p>
<p>In this brief (but informative) article, I&#8217;ll reveal some great ways to take your metabolism to the next level.</p>
<p>So without further ado, here are some things you should start doing TODAY for the fastest arm toning possible:</p>
<p>1. Eat every three hours. If you&#8217;re still eating 3 square meals a day, you&#8217;re missing out big time. Eating every couple of hours (about 6 meals a day) will provide a higher thermic effect (more calories burned). As an added bonus, insulin (the #1 fat storing hormone) will be kept at an extremely low level.</p>
<p>2. Stay away from long-duration cardio. Go overboard with cardio and your body will secrete cortisol. This dirty hormone will eat away all your precious muscle. I say precious because muscle is the number one thing that will send your metabolism through the roof. Never do more than 45 minutes of cardio at a time for best results.</p>
<p>3. Consider HIT cardiovascular work. HIT (high intensity cardio) is optional and only helpful if you are having a very difficult time shedding off those last layers of arm flab. The key is to go hard and short so that cortisol doesn&#8217;t become an issue. Try to get your heart rate up and keep it there for no more than 20 minutes.</p>
<p>4. Make weightlifting your best friend. You will not develop manly arms because your body does not have enough testosterone to do so. Don&#8217;t forget that weightlifting (increasing muscle mass) is the absolute best way to increase your metabolism.</p>
<p>Practice the above pointers, and your arm toning will reach new heights. The key is to implement this advice now and not later. Because for most women, later never comes. Consider your metabolism to be your new best friend for sexy arm stardom.</p>
